The verdict
Can the Ode Gen 2 grind espresso? Fellow's own answer is no. It describes the Ode as designed for brewed coffee only, from AeroPress and pour-over to French press and cold brew, and says its 64mm flat burrs and motor are geared to drip and immersion. For filter, that focus is the reason to buy it: 64mm stainless flat burrs, 11 settings with 31 total steps, a 100 g load, anti-static technology and a built-in knocker to cut leftover grounds, and an auto-stop. If you might pull shots, Fellow points to its Opus grinder instead, and the Baratza Encore ESP covers both for less.
