About BrewSift
Buying coffee gear is needlessly confusing. Every machine claims to be the best, prices swing wildly, and the advice online is split between generalist sites that barely cover coffee and enthusiast forums that assume you already speak the language. BrewSift sits in the middle: an independent comparison engine with enough depth to be credible and enough plain English to be useful to a beginner.
We do three things. We score and compare the gear — espresso machines, grinders, coffee makers, kettles, and more — on the dimensions that actually matter for each category. We help you choose beans by taste with a 90-second quiz and honest bean guides instead of marketing copy. And we map the world of coffee in the Coffee Atlas, so you can pick beans the way professionals do — by origin and flavor.
The thing that ties it together is the part nobody else does well: connecting taste → origin → bean → the exact gear to brew it. One honest loop, from what you like to what to buy.
How we stay honest
We're funded by affiliate commissions when you buy through our links — and that never touches a score. Our scoring formula is fixed and applied identically to everything, sponsored content is clearly labeled and never dressed up as an editorial winner, and we mark every product with whether we've tested it or researched it. The full method is on our methodology page.
Who's behind it
BrewSift is published by Hilly Shore Labs, an independent studio that builds carefully-researched review and reference sites. We're coffee obsessives who got tired of bad buying advice. Spot a mistake or want to suggest a product? hello@brewsift.com.
