The verdict
Baratza's espresso-capable version of the Encore. Per Baratza's own spec pages, it shares the classic's 40mm conical burr size, 300 g hopper, 120 g grounds bin and 550 RPM motor. The ESP changes three things: M2 burrs instead of the classic's M3, a quick-release burr mount instead of a threaded one, and a dual-range dial where settings 1 to 20 are micro-steps for espresso and 21 to 40 cover filter, French press and cold brew. It also ships with a 54mm dosing cup and a 58mm adapter. Buy the classic Encore only if you will never pull a shot.
