The verdict
SCA-certified out of the box, but where it stands apart is control: Gold, Fast, Strong, Iced, Cold Brew, and a fully custom mode with adjustable temperature, bloom time, and flow. Two things changed in 2026: Breville has discontinued the Precision Brewer line (its current certified drip machine is the Luxe Brewer), and this listing is the glass-carafe BDC400, not the thermal model. Still the pick if you like to dial in your drip the way you'd dial in espresso, and accept buying a retired model.
