Coffee Advent Calendars: 4 on Amazon, and What You Pay for the Countdown
Pick the calendar by the machine it has to fit. For a drip coffee maker, Door County and Silver Bridge both sell 24 full-pot bags of ground coffee. For a Nespresso Original machine, Real Coffee sells a 24-capsule calendar. For a Keurig, Coffee Junkie sells 24 flavored single-serve cups. We found no Vertuo calendar on Amazon. Expect to pay two to four times the per-cup price of an everyday variety box; the calendar format is what you are paying for.

Key takeaways
- Four coffee advent calendars passed a live Amazon check on 23 September 2026: two ground-coffee calendars, one Nespresso Original calendar and one K-Cup calendar.
- No Vertuo-format calendar turned up on Amazon, which fits Vertuo's closed capsule market. A Vertuo variety box is the fallback.
- Per cup, each calendar costs roughly two to four times an everyday variety box of the same format. The countdown is the product.
- Seasonal listings sell out and change price, so check stock, delivery date and the format before ordering.
A coffee advent calendar is a variety box with a countdown attached: 24 small doors, 24 servings, one a day to Christmas Eve. Most calendar round-ups mix specialty roasters that ship direct with boxes you can order on Amazon. This one only covers calendars sold on Amazon, and only the ones whose listing was live with a working Add to Cart when we checked on 23 September 2026.
The short version: match the calendar to the machine first, then accept that you are paying for the countdown, not for cheap coffee.
The four that passed a live check
Seasonal listings churn. Prices below were read from each listing on 23 September 2026 and will move before December.
| Calendar | Format | What is inside | Price then | Works out at |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Door County 2026 Coffee Advent Calendar | Ground, full-pot bags | 24 bags of 1.5 oz, holiday flavors plus best-sellers | $75.99 | about $3.17 a pot |
| Silver Bridge Coffee Advent Calendar 2026 | Ground, full-pot packs | 24 packs of 1.5 oz, 12 flavored and 12 blends or origins | $105.99 | about $4.42 a pot |
| Real Coffee Advent Calendar 2026 | Nespresso Original capsules | 24 capsules across 13 varieties, hot chocolate included | $34.99 | about $1.46 a capsule |
| Coffee Junkie Gourmet Coffee Advent Calendar | K-Cup style pods | 24 flavored single-serve cups | $44.99 | about $1.87 a cup |
Door County: the ground-coffee default
Door County's calendar holds 24 pre-measured 1.5 oz bags of ground coffee, each sized for a full pot. The listing describes a medium-roast, Specialty Grade 1 arabica range mixing holiday flavored coffees with the roaster's everyday best-sellers. It was sold by Door County itself and shipped by Amazon.
Silver Bridge: the most variety, at the highest price
Silver Bridge also uses 24 bags of 1.5 oz, each portioned for a 12-cup pot. Half are flavored; the other half are blends, single origins and specialty roasts, and the listing promises no repeat days and one day of 100% Kona. It is the most interesting of the four for someone who drinks unflavored coffee, and the most expensive.
Real Coffee: for Nespresso Original machines only
Real Coffee's calendar puts one aluminum capsule behind each door: eight espressos, two lungos and three hot chocolates across 13 varieties, with several of the coffees labelled organic or Fairtrade. The listing is explicit that it fits Original-line machines and not Vertuo.
Coffee Junkie: flavored K-Cups
Coffee Junkie's calendar is 24 single-serve cups, each a different flavored coffee. The maker describes certified organic, Fair Trade beans flavored without sugar, and says the cups work in Keurig 2.0 brewers.
Match the calendar to the machine
- Drip coffee maker: either ground calendar. Each bag makes a full pot, so a small brewer or a single drinker will have a lot left over.
- Nespresso Original: Real Coffee. If you are unsure which Nespresso line they own, Vertuo vs Original shows how to tell.
- Keurig: Coffee Junkie, after checking the pod type against the brewer.
- Nespresso Vertuo: we found no Vertuo calendar on Amazon. The Vertuo Variety Pack is the nearest thing.
- French press, pour-over or espresso: none of these fits well. A bag from our gifts for coffee lovers guide will suit them better.

What you pay for the countdown
Each calendar is, in effect, a variety box. Set against an everyday box of the same format from our own catalog, the premium is easy to see:
| Format | Calendar, per serving | Everyday equivalent, per serving |
|---|---|---|
| Nespresso Original | about $1.46 (Real Coffee) | about 48 cents (Lavazza variety, 60 ct) |
| Flavored K-Cup | about $1.87 (Coffee Junkie) | about 50 cents (Crazy Cups flavored variety, 40 ct) |
| Ground coffee | $2.11 to $2.94 an ounce | about 89 cents an ounce (Peet's Major Dickason's, 18 oz) |
That is roughly two to four times the everyday price. It is not a reason to skip a calendar; it is a reason to buy one as a gift rather than as a coffee supply. For flavored pods on their own, our flavored K-Cups guide covers the everyday boxes, and the Pod Price Index ranks every capsule box we track by price per pod.
What to check before you order
- Format. Ground, K-Cup and Nespresso Original are not interchangeable, and a calendar for the wrong machine is a box of doors.
- Price per cup, not per box. Divide the price by 24, then compare it with what they already buy.
- Freshness. None of the four listings states a roast date. Two list a shelf life instead: 720 days for Real Coffee and 240 days for Coffee Junkie. Treat these as convenience coffee rather than fresh-roasted.
- Flavored or not. Three of the four lean heavily on flavored coffee. Silver Bridge is the one with a full unflavored half.
- Delivery and stock. It has to arrive before December 1, and seasonal stock runs out.
Who a calendar suits
Buy one if:
- It is a gift and the daily reveal is the point
- They like trying new flavors or origins
- You know exactly which machine they own
Skip it if:
- They drink one favorite coffee every day
- You are buying coffee to save money
- They brew by French press, pour-over or espresso
What we left out, and why
- Keurig's own branded calendar. When we checked, the listing was being sold by a reseller with one unit left.
- Three other single-serve pod calendars showed as currently unavailable, with no date for restock.
- An instant-coffee calendar was labelled for 2025 and sold by a reseller, so we could not treat it as this season's stock.
- Specialty-roaster calendars sold direct from the roaster rather than on Amazon.
Rule of thumb: a coffee advent calendar is a gift, priced like one. Match the format to the machine and you have done the hard part.
Everyday variety boxes, if a calendar is not the right fit

Lavazza Original-compatible Variety, 60 ct
The best-tasting Original capsule by most accounts that isn't Nespresso's own — Lavazza's four-blend box at about 50 cents.

Keurig Coffee Lover's Collection Variety, 40 ct
Twenty different pods from ten brands in one box — the sampler to buy before any 96-count, at about 90 cents a pod.

Nespresso Vertuo Variety Pack, 30 ct
The medium-and-dark Vertuo mug sampler, 30 count at $1.40 — the starter box for mug-size drinkers.

FAQ
Are coffee advent calendars worth it?
As a gift, often yes, because the daily reveal and the variety are the point. As a way to buy coffee, no. Every calendar we checked costs roughly two to four times the per-cup price of an everyday variety box in the same format.
Is there a Nespresso Vertuo advent calendar on Amazon?
We did not find one when we checked in September 2026. The Nespresso-compatible calendars on Amazon are for Original machines only, which fits the way Vertuo capsules come only from Nespresso and the brands it sells. A Vertuo variety box is the closest substitute.
Do K-Cup advent calendars work in every Keurig?
Check the listing. The Coffee Junkie calendar says it is compatible with Keurig 2.0 machines. For any other brewer, confirm the pod type against the machine's manual before buying.
When should I buy a coffee advent calendar?
Early enough to arrive before December 1, and before seasonal stock runs out. Several calendars we looked at in September were already showing as unavailable or down to a single unit from a reseller.
How much coffee is in a ground coffee advent calendar?
The two ground calendars we list each hold 24 bags of 1.5 oz, or 36 oz in total. Each bag is portioned for a full pot in a drip coffee maker, so one bag a day is a lot of coffee for a single drinker.
